Notes[]
- The title of the episode is a play on the idiom "the X factor" which refers to an unknown or hard-to-define influence or a factor with unknown or unforeseeable consequences. It is also the title of a reality talent-competition show.
- In this episode Scooter mentions his mom has a boyfriend named Ken.
- This is one of two episodes of the series (the other being "Going Going Gonzo") that does not feature Fozzie Bear. Additionally it is also the only episode that does not feature Bunsen, Beaker, Sam the Eagle, and Sweetums.
