Selena Marie Gomez (b. 1992) is an actress and singer who got her start in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place.
In 2008, Gomez appeared with Kermit the Frog in a public service announcement for the Association of Zoos & Aquariums' "Year of the Frog" campaign to help protect frogs and other amphibians.
Gomez also starred in a 2008 Disney Channel special with the Muppets, Studio DC Hosted by Selena Gomez.
In 2011, Gomez made a cameo in The Muppets appearing in a scene with Whoopi Goldberg and Rico Rodriguez, as potential celebrity talent for the Muppets' telethon. She ended up taking donations on the phone lines, sitting next to The Newsman. As promotion for The Muppets, she also appeared in The Never-Ending Mahna Mahna Phenomahna.
