Rob Sprackling

Rob Sprackling is a writer who scripted several episodes of The Animal Show with writing partner John Smith. Sprackling and Smith would go on to write the animated feature Gnomeo & Juliet. The pair also wrote and produced the 2001 comedy film Mike Bassett: England Manager and a television spin-off. At one point, Sprackling and Smith sold a spec script for the proposed feature film Blackwater Zoo to The Jim Henson Company, but it was never produced.

Sprackling and Smith worked on the revival of Danger Mouse. Sprackling wrote his first children's novel, Born Again Ben, in 2013.
