Osiris is the Egyptian god of the underworld.

In Don't Eat the Pictures, Osiris is called upon to judge the heaviness of Prince Sahu's heart after living under a curse for over 4,000 years. After failing to conjure a feather to weigh against a representation of Sahu's emotional state, he accepts Big Bird's offering for the ritual.

Sahu initially fails the test, prompting Osiris to deny the Prince a place in the sky with his parents as stars. When Big Bird comes to the boy's defense, Sahu's spirits are lifted and the outcome of the test turns in his favor. Osiris allows the last-minute change, and initiates the transformation of Sahu and his cat.
