The Muppet Experiment

The Muppet Experiment was an "Alternate Reality Game" held in December 2008 online and at the Disneyland resort. The story of the game involved the Muppets being split up and lost in the past due to a malfunction in Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's time travel experiment.

The game began online at Themuppetexperiment.com, where Disneyland resort guests completed puzzles to find the missing Muppets. The final part of the game was at the Disneyland theme park, where guests were given clues for a scavenger hunt around the park. The conclusion of the experiment was the reveal of a map of Disney California Adventure's expansion, including the first appearance of the still in-development Cars Land.

The online portion of the game was created by Blueflame Development.
