	SCENE 1	Maria exits 123 Sesame Street and is shocked to find a tree potted right in front of Oscar's trash can. Maria teases Oscar with her bag of trash, which Oscar accepts through the leaves. He points out the other trees on the block and lists some of his tree's benefits, most importantly the way it keeps his can hidden from sight so no one can bother him.

	SCENE 2	Oscar takes advantage of his newfound peace to take a nap outside. However, it's bothered by a Muppet squirrel (Jerry Nelson) who loudly munches on the nuts from the tree's branches. "Somethin' tells me this tree wasn't such a great idea after all," Oscar says.

	SCENE 3	Oscar hangs a "No Squirrels Allowed" sign off the tree and settles down for his nap. However, lovebirds Henry and Abigail (Nelson and Richard Hunt) pick it as a spot to have a picnic, as the tree reminds them of their first picnic together 50 years ago. The couple drives Oscar crazy with their reminiscing, kissing, and sweet talk; they even offer to share their food with him.

	SCENE 4	Oscar adds a "No Picnics" sign to his other one, but as he tries to take a nap again he notices the leaves are turning colors and starting to fall. Bob comes by and offers to rake the area for Oscar, explaining how the autumn weather is affecting the tree.

	SCENE 5	David and Maria go to see what's developed with Oscar and his tree only to find it gone, with just a tub of dirt remaining. Oscar says the tree was more trouble than it was worth, so he went and planted it in the park. He wanted to keep the dirt though, and has brought back some nice rocks he found in the park to put in it and make a mess. Maria and David point out the rocks are actually acorns, which Oscar is dismayed to learn will grow into trees!

	Muppets	Ernie & Bert — Ernie wants to show Bert his ice cube collection. The ice cubes were so cold that he had to put them in a box covered with an electric blanket. Much to Ernie's surprise, the ice cubes have disappeared. Since they were replaced with water, Ernie suspects that a fish might have stolen them. Bert tells him that it's because they've melted. Ernie, however, is now convinced that a fish melted the ice cubes, and angrily walks out the door to "tear him fin-from-fin." (First: Episode 0033)

Big Bird wants to talk about size next, but David makes a quick getaway, dropping all the boxes in the process.

While Big Bird makes some wild guesses, the kids correctly state the night is coming. Big Bird claims he would have gotten it, but "it's awful hard to guess in the dark."
