Michael Karp is a composer who wrote music for Sesame Street film songs "Rainy Day Song" and "The Riddle" (both with lyrics by Benjamin Goldstein, who produced the films).
Karp has composed music for a variety of television programming, including broadcasts of golf and boxing, soap operas, America's Next Top Model 2, cues for NBC Presidential debates and conventions, and for The Puzzle Place and Nickeloden's Thanksgiving special Turkey TV. He composed the theme song for Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
Karp is the father of David Karp, the founder of Tumblr.
