Dimpho is a human cast member of Takalani Sesame, the South African co-production of Sesame Street.

Dimpho is a motherly type, referred to by the kids as "Ma Dimpho". She lives with her husband Salie, her daughter Tshidi and her adopted son Dumisani.

Dimpho speaks Sesotho and English.

When Kami was introduced in 2002 as an HIV-positive orphan Muppet, Dimpho adopted Kami.
