- In a nod to the original cartoon, right as the time machine is activated for the first time, Animal references his old catchphrase, saying "Animal go bye-bye!"

- "Super Fabulous vs Captain Icecube" has been turned into the illustrated children's book Super Fabulous!
- The episode's first segment also marks the first time that the series features the characters' recurring superhero and supervillain personas. A set of plush characters based on some of these alter egos was released the same year.
- In "Piggy's Time Machine," Beaker makes his first appearance on the reboot; though only in the form of a picture/app on the Playroom's interactive scribble screen. He and Bunsen have their official introduction in the following episode, in "One Small Problem."
