Maria is working in the back room, so when Snuffy inquires where to put the toaster she calls to her customer to leave the toaster out for her. When she comes out Snuffy has already left, and she not only wonders who the mysterious person she was just talking to was, but amazed to find the Snuffleupagus-sized toaster sitting on the outdoor table...

Olivia thinks that Big Bird must be playing a trick, so they wait to see if Snuffy comes back to pick up the toaster (prompting Olivia to tease Maria by humming the theme to The Twilight Zone). Big Bird comes for it instead; Snuffy asked him to pick up the toaster for him. Olivia correctly guesses the toaster is Snuffy's, claiming she has a good imagination... but not nearly as good as Maria's.

	SCENE 3	Dr. Nobel Price thinks he has discovered a one-of-a-kind creature called the "Great Shagaphant," which he has concealed underneath a giant drop cloth. However, as Dr. Price elaborates on the creature (a shaggy, brown animal with a long nose that hails from Hawaii), Big Bird has his suspicions on who he really caught. Sure enough, it turns out to be another Snuffleupagus - specifically, Snuffy's cousin Abigail! As Big Bird breaks the news to Dr. Price that more exist and the two leave for Snuffy's cave, Maria arrives and finds Dr. Price sobbing in disbelief. He exclaims, "I don't believe it! A Snuffleupagus!" Maria comforts him, saying, "That's okay, I don't believe it either!"

Whenever he brings back one relative to meet another, the other relative has already left for some reason. Big Bird soon finds that he's lost both Snuffleupaguses, but is relieved when he hears them chatting with each other outside his nest area.
