Jotheb

Along with Rygel, Jotheb is one of the Tavleks' prisoners in the Farscape episode "Throne for a Loss".

Jotheb is the next in line for the Consortium of Trao, an empire that is made up of 10,000 planets, with each planet averaging four billion Trao.

Despite being captured and held for ransom, Jotheb is very calm and cooperative, confident that his subjects will deliver his ransom. This is in contrast to Rygel who believes everyone hates him and that no one will deliver his ransom.

Jotheb aids Rygel in his escape attempt, but Rygel is soon killed by Bekhesh. Jotheb revives him and says that his ransom will also be paid by the Consortium of Trao. Jotheb claims that since he revived Rygel, Rygel is now Jotheb's property, along with all of Rygel's subjects. Jotheb becomes angry when Rygel reveals that he is no longer the ruler of the Hynerian Empire and has no subjects.

When Crichton and D'Argo arrive to rescue Rygel and to recover the crystal, Jotheb tells them that Rygel is being moved to a more secure location. Crichton offers to rescue Jotheb, but he refuses, preferring to wait for his subjects to deliver the ransom. He then tell them that the offer to pay Rygel's ransom is rescinded as Rygel has been deemed "too disruptive."
