SCENE 1 It's the first morning at Camp Echo Rock and Aunt Mae heralds it by (badly) playing “The Reveille” on the bugle to wake everyone up. Big Bird wakes from his makeshift nest and briefly forgets that he's not on Sesame Street anymore and he, Mickey, and the kids get up on time for breakfast... except for Rusty, who would rather sleep. Mickey tries to convince Rusty to get out of bed, but Rusty isn't used to cabin life yet and requests he get his food from a restaurant instead. He's finally convinced to get up when Mickey lists all the delicious offerings they have.
Big Bird's line about asking around for help is cut from this airing, as he mentions Mr. Hooper who had passed away the previous season. Aunt Mae's onscreen appearance has also been removed.

Big Bird doesn't want to play and prefers to go bike-riding, confessing that he doesn't know how to play baseball, so Mickey offers to teach him. While Mickey makes sure Radar has a good seat, Big Bird takes his place in center field. ("I'll be Bucky Dent!" he exclaims.) Though he has trouble catching any of the balls, eventually he hits a home run. Big Bird later informs Radar that it might be better for him to stay in the cabin - he's going to be very busy.
