Ideal Toys made multiple sets of Sesame Street sand toys in 1987.

The Big Bird Dune Buggy is a plastic rolling toy that comes apart into a set of sand toys. The buggy becomes a pail with a handle, the Big Bird figure was a sand mold, the trunk and hood become a shovel and rake, and the wheels have holes to become sifters.

The Sesame Street Sand Mold Set was a six-piece playset that included the 123 Sesame Street brownstone, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Ernie, Bert and a shovel.

The Big Bird Stackable Sand Set came with four pieces: a Big Bird mold, a sand sifter, Big Bird's nest to hold sand or water, and a shovel.
