Hans Zimmer (b. 1957) is a German composer for film and television, who provided the musical score for Muppet Treasure Island. He founded Remote Control Productions where he produces scores for Rupert Gregson-Williams, Harry Gregson-Williams (who collaborated with Zimmer on Muppet Treasure Island), and will.i.am, and often collaborates with such notable directors as Ridley Scott and Ron Howard.
Zimmer has scored over a hundred films during his career, including the Oscar-winning score for The Lion King, Mission Impossible II, The Da Vinci Code, The Simpsons Movie, Batman Begins (co-composed with James Newton Howard), Driving Miss Daisy, Thelma & Louise, two Sherlock Holmes movies, A League of Their Own, Hannibal, three of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Frost/Nixon, two of the Transformers movies, Man of Steel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Wonder Woman 1984, and Top Gun: Maverick.
