Eugene the Hunting Dog

Eugene the Hunting Dog is a guest on The Animal Show. He appears in the episode "Elephant & Hunting Dog", where he tells Stinky the Skunk and Jake the Polar Bear about how African Hunting Dogs stay cool in the heat.

At first, Stinky mistakes Eugene for a domesticated dog, and complains that they only interview wild animals on the show. Eugene explains that he's a wild dog.

The puppet would later be recycled as Dirty Gerty on Mopatop's Shop.

Bill Barretta asked writer Jim Lewis to name the Hunting Dog, Eugene. It was a nod to Bill's brother, Gene Barretta.
