Eddie Izzard (b. 1962) is a British comedian and actor working in the entertainment industry since the early 1980s.
Izzard performed the voice of It, the Psammead, in the 2004 film Five Children and It, and provided the voice of Elder Cadia in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
In addition to a prolific career in stand-up and on stage, Izzard's other film credits include Velvet Goldmine (with Ewan McGregor), The Avengers (with Uma Thurman), Mystery Men (with Paul Reubens and William H. Macy), Shadow of the Vampire (with John Malkovich), Pixar's Cars 2, the Beatles inspired Across the Universe (with Evan Rachel Wood), and Ocean's Twelve (with George Clooney).
