Dynamite was a children's magazine produced from 1977 to 1992. The magazine was published by Scholastic Inc., and available to elementary and middle schools through the Scholastic Book Club. Dynamite was essentially a kid's guide to pop culture, with cover features on the most popular stars of its day -- Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca, Sylvester Stallone, Robin Gibb and the Bee Gees, John Denver, Shaun Cassidy, Henry Winkler and many more.

The Muppets appeared on the cover several times. In May 1979, Kermit and Miss Piggy were featured in a three-page cover story about their relationship. Miss Piggy was the cover story for the July 1980 issue. Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo were the cover stars in June 1981, with a four-page article promoting The Great Muppet Caper. The Dynamite staff did their homework -- the article describes a visit to the Great Muppet Caper set, and includes interviews with Jim Henson, Dave Goelz, Frank Oz and David Lazer.

The Dark Crystal was the cover story for the December 1982 issue.
