Chicken Dance Elmo is a doll produced by Fisher-Price in 2002.
When Elmo's foot is pressed, he plays and dances along to the "Chicken Dance" song. When his foot is pressed again, it adds a "rappin' repeat effect."

Chicken Dancer Elmo[]
Fisher-Price followed up Chicken Dance Elmo with Chicken Dancer Elmo in 2003. It is a smaller version that plays the "Chicken Dance" at three different speeds while moving around. It was released alongside Chicken Dancer Ernie and Chicken Dancer Cookie Monster.
The box is designed to resemble a chicken coop.
Promotion[]
- Elmo appeared in a chicken suit on the Australian talk show Rove Live on September 24, 2002, to promote the toy. Rove later mentioned to Kevin Clash that he had the toy himself.
- A small wind-up PVC version of the toy was included with McDonald's Happy Meals in 2003.
