Billy Bunny's family

Billy Bunny's family appeared in the Muppet Sing Along video Billy Bunny's Animal Songs. Members of Billy Bunny's immediate family include his mother, his father, a brother named Ralph, a sister, and a baby. A 1993 press release for the video mentions that Billy's extended family includes "14 aunts and uncles, and 36 cousins (at last count -- they are still multiplying)."

As the video begins, Billy's family are driven crazy by his constantly singing "Hoppity-Boppity," so his mom sends him out into the forest so he can learn some new songs from the animals. In the final scene, the bunny family is gathered around for a carrot feast. Billy returns, having learned seven new songs, but decides to sing his favorite song "Hoppity-Boppity" again. The rest of the family groan, but they eventually join in on the reprise.

The puppets used for Billy Bunny's family were recycled as generic rabbits in various Muppet productions. For instance, Billy's brother and sister appear as background townspeople in Muppet Classic Theater.
