COLD OPEN | Elmo and the viewer name things you can find in space: the sun, moon and stars. He then blasts off.
SCENE | Elmo, Rosita and Abby tell the viewer they're pretending to be astronautas and will be visiting la luna and las estrellas. They give the viewer their own "helmet" (a strainer) and are ready to go into space...but first, they need a rocket ship.
SCENE cont'd | The astronauts come across a bunch of boxes Chris is bringing up to Hooper's Store. Rosita finds a large, empty box she thinks will be perfect. Chris recalls when he was young, he and his sister would pretend boxes were tons of things and lets them use it. In song, the astronauts decorate their box and sing about all the things they'll find in space.
SCENE cont'd | With their spaceship ready, they all hop inside and countdown to lift off. The street darkens as they make their way through space and Elmo wants to find some stars. They see some Twiddlebugs flying overhead, which they imagine are stars. The Twiddlebugs then form a new constellation: the Twiddle-Dipper.
SCENE cont'd | Rosita exits the spaceship so she can spacewalk. To Elmo and Abby's surprise, she doesn't fall, she floats! They all go out for a float while singing about how it feels. When they float back to their ship, they find the recycling man ripping it up, believing it was left out for him to recycle. He stops when he finds out its purpose and heads off to his next stop.
SCENE cont'd | Chris finds the sad astronauts, who decide to give up their game and go home. He thinks they can fix the rocket and pretends to blast off into space to give them some "space tape." They all repair the rocket and Chris joins them as they head for the moon.

They find Only One Cannoli, who recommends he "use the four" - counting to four to calm himself down. Flan tries it, but still finds himself hungry for Chewie. They then visit a swamp, where Groda (played by Grover) suggests he take his mind off cookies by singing. Flan tries that too, but still hungers for Chewie. The crew find themselves at the headquarters of Darth Baker, who turns out to be Luke's father and offers another strategy - Flan should pretend Chewie is something else.
