COLD OPEN | Grover introduces a theme of "music" for today's show, interrupted by some sunglass-wearing chickens.
SCENE | Elmo and Abby have formed "The Best Friends Band" and are going to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" together, only the end result comes out awful (though beautiful to Oscar). They blame each other for playing incorrectly and start arguing, which Oscar also enjoys. Chris comes by and has them play their parts separately to see where the issue is. They find Elmo is playing fast and Abby is playing slow; the two decide to break up the band and piano mover Grover takes away Elmo's piano. Chris convinces them to compromise and find a tempo they can play together. Grover brings the piano back as they play "Twinkle Twinkle" together, sounding much better (to Oscar's chagrin).
SCENE cont'd | Now, the two start playing "The Alphabet Song," but it doesn't sound right again. They argue over who's fault it is, when Chris notes the issue is the dynamics of their playing; Elmo is soft and Abby is loud. They are about to break up again, when Chris tells them to compromise once more. They agree to change their dynamics and play a rockin' version of the song.
SCENE cont'd | Abby now wants to play "Old MacDonald," but Elmo wants to play "Elmo's Song." They decide to break up yet again, though they really don't want to. The two decide to compromise on their own and combine the two songs in a medley. "Thank you Sesame Street, goodnight!"
