COLD OPEN What's the Word on the Street?: Conflict
4280a

4280b
SCENE Alan keeps the Hooper's Store area quiet, as Mother Goose (Samantha Bee) is writing new nursery rhymes nearby. Elmo and Abby get excited, but Mother Goose is sad; she's had trouble coming up with new rhymes and needs to write three new ones for her publisher today. Abby and Elmo are great with rhymes and offer to help, but Mother Goose needs more than rhymes - she needs conflict to have an interesting story and there's none to be seen around.

4280d
SCENE cont'd Alan brings out 13 birthday cookies he's baked, which summons Cookie Monster. The scenario gives Mother Goose inspiration, but needs a rhyme for "plate." Abby gives her the rhyme - "eight," as Cookie has eaten five of them. Cookie apologizes, yet gobbles up the remaining cookies. Abby once again gives a rhyme, making Elmo feel upset (he wanted to give her a rhyme).
4280e
SCENE cont'd Mother Goose orders some pickles to help her think, and Alan struggles to open the jar. She gets inspiration for another rhyme, but needs one for "stuck." Elmo gets this one, leading to a short fight between him and Abby until they're hushed by Mother Goose. Super Grover crashes onto the scene and Abby once again gets a rhyme to fit the situation. Grover and Alan struggle with the jar, sending it hurtling away with a crash. Abby again gets the rhyme, frustrating Elmo more.

Trolliamsberg01

Trolliamsberg02
Muppets / Animation Abby's Flying Fairy School
Mrs. Sparklenose steers the school to their field trip location: Colonial Trolliamsberg. However, Blogg (being half-Troll) seems down about the trip. When they arrive, the Troll guard asks them a riddle so they can pass: "What has one line down and one line across and you need it to tickle and toss?" The guard also notices Blogg's wings, which he tries claiming are "armpit-coolers". Gonnigan and Abby ask Spot, who shows them the alphabet. They then realize the answer is the letter T.
Inside the town, Blogg makes more attempts to hide his wings by putting a backpack over them (causing everything inside to spill out) and a large sweater. Abby and Gonnigan meet a candlestick maker, who asks them to estimate how many ears full of wax it'll take to make one candle. Gonnigan's guess turns out to be right (6 ears worth). They then head to the center of town, where Garfunkel the Griffin is performing. However, Niblet's flash-photography causes Garfunkel to freak out and angrily fly to the sky and the only to get him down to whisper "Nap time" in his ear. Abby tries, but the person must be a troll. Mrs. Sparklenose explains to Blogg that sometimes "Differences make the difference", boosting his confidence and he flies up to put Garfunkel to sleep. Everyone in the town reveres him. Muppets Super Grover 2.0
A squirrel wants to display his giant acorn, but his shelf comes loose. Super Grover 2.0 arrives and tries holding it up, finding that won't work, nor does his sticky tape. The squirrel notices a hole in the shelf and thinks something should go in. Grover plugs a carrot in, which doesn't keep the shelf attached to the tree. The squirrel then notes the hole has ridges, so Grover tries a rigid potato chip that fails too. He finally pulls out a screw, which he thinks is useless. Despite Grover's doubts, the squirrel pulls out his screwdriver and uses the screw to attach his shelf to the tree, keeping it put! An even larger acorn knocks out Grover, which the squirrel also proudly places on his shelf.
