	COLD OPEN	Healthy Moment: Shirley Jones tells Zoe that while waiting for the bus, she likes to move her body and stretch her toes and arms to keep them healthy and strong.
	SCENE	At Hooper's Store, Alan is busily getting school supplies for Baby Bear, when Telly notices the viewer and is glad that they are here. Today is Baby Bear’s first day of school at the Storybook Community School, a school for storybook characters to begin their education. Just then, Papa Bear arrives to pick up Baby Bear and they both go on their way as Alan wished him luck. cut from the DVD version
	SCENE, cont'd	At the Storybook Community School, the other storybook characters begin to arrive when Baby Bear and Papa Bear get there. Baby Bear recognizes some of the storybook characters, including Hansel and Gretel, Jack and Jill, Little Red Riding Hood, and Mary with her lamb. As the bell rings and the storybook characters enter the school, Papa Bear says it is time for him to say goodbye to Baby Bear. Baby Bear is shocked that Papa Bear is going, but his dad says he's going to have fun at the school. So they both hug and Papa Bear says he'll pick him up after school.
	SCENE, cont'd	Inside the school, Mrs. Goose introduce herself and have the storybook characters introduce themselves. Peter Piper goes first, then Jack and Jill, and next it's Baby Bear’s turn. After telling everyone that his family are now the four bears since Curly Bear was born, Baby Bear starts to miss his family. Then Hansel and Gretel introduce themselves and shower everyone with breadcrumbs. Baby Bear is having fun and thinks Curly Bear would love to see it, but then he starts to wonder if she misses him.
	SCENE, cont'd	Mrs. Goose says everyday, they will learn a letter from the Alphabet and she has them guess what letter begins at the Alphabet. Baby Bear replies that it is the letter A and Mrs. Goose says that he is correct. She says that it is used to begin a story as in "Once upon a time." Baby Bear is happy that he got his first answer correct, but then he starts to wonder if Papa Bear misses him.
	SCENE, cont'd	Mrs. Goose says everyday they will also learn a number and has them guess what number starts at the beginning. Little Red Riding Hood replies that it is the number 1 and also addresses Mrs. Goose as "Grandma." Mrs. Goose replies that she is correct, and Jack adds that it starts the phrase "Once upon a time.” Everyone laughs and Jack laughs so hard, he falls backwards and breaks his crown. Mrs. Goose says they are going to create their own number 1 as their art project and can decorate it with glitter and any color. Baby Bear is happy because he loves art. After mentioning how Mama Bear loves glitter, he wonders if she misses him.
	SCENE, cont'd	After finishing their art projects, the storybook characters start working on their Humpty Dumpty puzzles and try to put him back together. Baby Bear puts the final piece together and happily says that he did it. Everyone is impressed at how Baby Bear finished the puzzle, and Baby Bear wishes that his family were there to see this. He starts to think of his family again and wonders what they are doing. He starts to think that going to school will be hard on them.
	SCENE, cont'd	As the school day ends and Mrs. Goose says goodbye to the storybook characters, Papa Bear arrives to pick up Baby Bear. When Mrs. Goose tells Baby Bear that she will see him tomorrow, Baby Bear replies that he may not come tomorrow. Although he loves the things he did today and made new friends, he couldn’t help thinking about his family. Papa Bear and Mrs. Goose tells him it's OK since it is his first day of school. Mrs. Goose mentions that she was Papa Bear’s teacher and he was also afraid when he was little. Papa Bear also tells Baby Bear to just think about the time they get to see each other again at the end of the day, and how he will tell his family about all the great things he did in school.
	SCENE, cont'd	Baby Bear feels much better and decides he will come back tomorrow for class when Ms. Goose says they will learn about the number 2 in pom-poms. As Mrs. Goose waves goodbye to Baby Bear and Papa Bear, Jack comes running out and falls down again with Jill tumbling after him.
