SCENE 1 | Telly and Baby Bear play basketball together. As Telly makes a shot, he hits Baby Bear in the nose, hurting him. Telly calls for Gina, who inspects his nose and finds no serious injury.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Baby Bear starts to feel better and is ready to play again. Telly, however, is afraid of hurting him again and opts for something else. Baby Bear suggests other sports, but Telly imagines how he can hurt him no matter what sport.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Telly thinks a much safer option is to play with his triangle collection. Baby Bear initially finds the idea boring, but warms up to it. But now, Telly thinks of a way Baby Bear could still get hurt: he could accidentally send one of the triangles flying, where a bird catches then drops it, allowing one of its three pointy angles to hit Baby Bear on the nose. Baby Bear thinks Telly is overreacting, but Telly insists on something else.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Baby Bear suggests they recite the alphabet, which couldn't possibly hurt him. Telly agrees, until he believes he could sway too fast while singing and bop Baby Bear on the nose. He creates some space between them...the entire block basically. They try reciting it together, but Baby Bear eventually gives up and walks away, while Telly continues. Baby Bear then runs into Gina and expresses how sad he is with Telly's behavior. She suggests he tell Telly how he feels.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Zoe points out to Telly that Baby Bear is not around anymore and he goes looking for him. Once they reunite, Baby Bear tells Telly that he is hurting him, emotionally. Telly realizes they can't have any fun if he continues acting this way and decides to play actively again. Baby Bear rewards him with a bear hug, that hurts Telly's back.
