SCENE 1 cont'd Inspired by the film, Elmo proposes they make their own kites. They head over to Hooper's Store, where Alan tells them they unfortunately don't sell kites.

SCENE 1 cont'd The two monsters are sad and inform Gabi on their situation. She happens to have a book on making kites and brings it to them, along with tons of supplies. Together, they make a nice pair of kites.

SCENE 1 cont'd The monsters are ready to fly them, but discover there's no wind to make the kites move. Gabi teaches them how wind works, then heads to the Mail It Shop to work. Elmo and Zoe try making their own wind to fly the kites, but they can't move enough air. Fortunately enough, the Big Bad Wolf arrives, perfect for the job. He then has to leave for lunch, causing the kites to crash to the ground and break.

SCENE 1 cont'd The monsters are distraught, when Gabi realizes they can take the unbroken pieces of each kite and make one kite that they can share. They combine their kites and try waiting for the Big Bad Wolf to return, when the wind picks up and takes their kite into the sky!
