SCENE 1 | Telly and Rosita take turns reading the nursery rhymes in their book "Jack of All Rhymes". They get half-way through "Little Jack Horner", when the titular character runs in and tells them to stop reading his story. He says he’s “all the Jacks, man!" meaning he plays Jack in all the fairy tales and nursery rhymes. He is frustrated with being busy all the time and not having time for "jack." He decides to quit and nominates Telly to take his place. He offers to help and promises children all over the world will read about him (and he gets to wear his hat). | |
