SCENE 1 Snuffy and Alice show a big book to Bob, telling him that it's a story Snuffy wrote called Are You My Brother?, about a little Snuffleupagus who is missing her older sibling. Alice, the protagonist, is searching for her big brother to play with, when a whirring bumblebee (Bob) approaches her. Alice thinks it might be her brother, but the bumblebee reminds her that her brother looks identical to her, having furry legs and no wings, and isn't a bumblebee. Bob tries to cheer her up by singing a tune about bumblebees, but sad Alice walks away to keep looking for her brother, which continues into the next chapter...

She comes across a spider (also portrayed by Bob), but while he has furry legs, he points out that he doesn't have the same features her brother does โ€“ he doesn't have four legs, brown fur or a snuffle. Bob fails to brighten Alice's spirits by singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," as she keeps on looking for her brother. Outside the story, Snuffy admits that Bob's characters definitely look like him.

SCENE 3 Before going into the third chapter, Snuffy mentions it features a bird. Bob assumes the bird surely is himself, due to his previous roles in the story, but Snuffy reveals it's Big Bird, who's looking for his own sister. He bumps into Alice, where he describes how his sister would be tall, skinny and yellow, and they just happen to meet a giant banana (again played by Bob). The banana explains to both Big Bird and Alice that he doesn't have any siblings, leaving the two to go off searching. This time, he tries to cheer up Alice with a song about bananas, but Alice still walks away in sadness. Snuffy still brags how Bob's characters are just like him, but Bob asks to hear the end of the story. Snuffy says it's coming up, but not until after more "important messages."
