COLD OPEN | Telly shows Gina his triangle collection, when Norman signals the arrival of The Grand High Triangle Lover! The GHTL is taking his annual vacation day and has decided to recruit Telly to replace him for the day. Telly can barely contain his excitement.
SCENE 1 | Telly, now with a GHTL hat and several triangular phones, is told what his task will be - answering triangle questions from all over the world. Telly isn't sure he can handle the responsibility, but takes it up when he sees how stressed the GHTL is from work. Gina even offers to be his assistant.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Telly gets his first call, from a nervous man (Jerry Nelson) who isn't sure where the top of his triangle is. Telly assures him any point can be the top; it depends on how he holds it. Telly is proud of how he handled the call and sends Gina away, claiming to not need her help anymore. He begins taking some more calls.

Telly is interrupted by a man (David Rudman), wanting to know if the shape he has is a triangle (it's a square). Telly tells him it's not and sends him off, as he answers a call from a farmer (Nelson): which came first - the chicken or the triangle? "Nobody knows the answer to that one," he tells the farmer.

Oscar, who loves to handle arguments, hires himself as Telly's assistant and suggests they tear the picture in half.
