	SCENE 2	Gina, Telly, and Juliet make a welcome home sign for Maria and Luis. Telly and Juliet insist that they add Maria and Luis' names to it, so they know it's for them. Then they keep adding more things they want it to say, like "we missed you," "we hope you had a great trip," and that they hope they didn't get an earache or a sore throat. Gina pauses her writing, as the card they're putting the message on is now filled up.

	SCENE 4	Luis and Maria have finished packing the Sloppy Jalopy, when Duane and Ingrid come to say goodbye. They present them with gifts that will help them remember their honeymoon: the rock with which they tried to open a can of beans, the unopened can, a log from their first campfire (with the burnt marshmallow cooked over it), and the boot they fished out of the lake. They don't have room in their apartment for all that, so they just take the boot. They try to leave, but the car won't start. "Luis, I'm afraid the honeymoon is over," sighs Maria.

	SCENE 5	Elmo has written a book to show Maria and Luis all the exciting things he did while they were gone, and reads it to Gina. He ate breakfast, played, flew a kite, and slept. He pastes a piece of burnt toast in the book because his toaster broke and they will have to fix it when they get back, and the last page shows a frowning Elmo who has missed Maria the whole time. Gina decides to wait in that very spot until they return, and Elmo offers her the toast in case she gets hungry.

He offers to buy it from them and Maria gets mad at him. He asks Luis, "Boy, what a grouch! Hey, is this your wife?" He tells him he is a very lucky man before he grudgingly agrees to make the car go. He also shows them how to make it go if it stops working again: get out and push it.

	SCENE 7	It is late, and Gina, Elmo, and Telly are still waiting for Maria and Luis. Gina thinks they probably just had car trouble, and Telly and Juliet start fearing that terrible (albeit impossible) things must have happened to them, such as being chased by a hungry monster. Maria finally arrives and they run away, thinking the monster is still behind her.
	SCENE 7 cont'd	Gina welcomes Maria home, and wakes up Elmo so he can see her. They then walk over to an exhausted Luis to help him push the Sloppy Jalopy.
