	SCENE 1	At night, Big Bird, Elmo, the Count, Maria, and Luis are all having dinner outside of Hooper's Store. At the head of the table are Maria's mother, Mrs. Figueroa, and Luis' uncle, Tío José, who will be guests at the wedding in two days. Whenever Tío José tells stories of when Luis was a little boy, the Count counts up the wise, perceptive, and intelligent things Luis said. Big Bird then introduces the viewers to the two visitors, and explains why they're here. It's been a great day so far, but it didn't start out great. When the Count counts four people trying to tell the story all at once, Maria and Luis proceed to take turns narrating before dissolving to a flashback...
	SCENE 1 cont'd	...in which Mrs. Figueroa and Tío José arrive at the airport at the same time. Since they had never met before they were just strangers to each other, arguing over who needs a taxi more and acting like a pair of Grouches. Speaking of which, who should turn up at this time but none other than Oscar in his Sloppy Jalopy, to drive both of them to Sesame Street. They soon learn about the other's relatives, which Oscar thinks will make for an interesting ride...
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Back in the present, Jose remarks, "It was not a very auspicious beginning, but ultimately, favorable." Now he and Mrs. Figueroa are both friends.

	Muppets	Ernie & Bert — At night, Ernie can't sleep because he's thirsty. Bert is out of town visiting his brother, so Ernie calls Bert on the phone to tell him he's thirsty. He follows Bert's advice to get a glass of water, but calls Bert again to thank him, and say he can't sleep. Bert suggests that he count sheep ... except Ernie doesn't hang up the phone. 	SCENE 2	At the dinner, Tío José describes his meeting of Elmo via another flashback, in which he tells Elmo the story of the time he went to Brazil to search for the lost Wherearewe tribe. His memory of the story is a bit fuzzy so Luis corrects him on a few things. As they take turns telling the story Elmo switches laps between them, getting exhausted in the process.

	SCENE 3 cont'd	...in which Big Bird and Maria overhear Luis and Mrs. Figueroa talking to each other in Spanish behind the construction doors. They become very excited to hear the conversation, with Maria translating everything to Big Bird. Luis and Mrs. Figueroa sneak up behind them with the good news, and Mrs. Figueroa remarks to her daughter, "You never could mind your own business!"
