SCENE 1 While at work in the Fix-it Shop, Luis has difficulty seeing the small screws of the toy robot he's repairing; Maria has no difficulty and handles it. Luis then tries to contact Mrs. Buckner about her son's fixed robot, but has trouble reading the phone book. Teenage customer Jennifer suggests that he may need to get glasses, saying that people's eyesight can change at any age. He brushes off the idea until Maria reminds him of his trouble seeing last week as well. Luis is convinced and decides to call the eye doctor - but needs Jennifer's help to look up the optometrist's number.
