"Fiesta" was performed by Rosita on Sesame Street.
In the middle of the day, Rosita's mother would say, "Rosita mi amor, it's time for your siesta." A siesta means a nap. Rosita wished that her mom would say, "It's time for your fiesta!" Balloons cascade down, pinatas appear, and Rosita is joined by Elmo, Zoe, Telly, Baby Bear, and Betty Lou for a party. The fiesta soon fades, however, and Rosita continues with her nap.
An instrumental version of the song accompanied later airings of a Sesame Street cartoon demonstrating "Abierto" and "Cerrado."
The song was also performed by Rosita in the Sesame Street Live show Big Bird's Sunny Day Camp Out.
