"Everyone Needs a Friend" is a song sung by Big Bird and Mr. Snuffleupagus to their new friend Abby Cadabby in the premiere of the 37th season.

When Abby is feeling shy about meeting new friends on Sesame Street she hides in a tree saying she will play alone for a while. Big Bird and Snuffy sing her this song in order to presuade her to come down and play with them. They mention how everyone needs someone to play with. It eventually works and Abby comes down from the tree to play.
