Ernie's Little Lie is a 1982 Sesame Street storybook featuring Ernie.
Plot
Ernie decides to paint a picture for an art contest Mr. Hooper is judging. After he finishes his rubber duckie picture, his cousin Fred mails him a realistic tiger painting. He briefly considers entering that one instead of his own, but then decides not to, but then Bert decides to enter his painting and mistakenly enters the picture that was mailed to him. It is highly praised and wins first prize at the contest. Ernie wants to clear up the confusion, but everybody likes the painting that he didn't do. Eventually, he explains what had happened, and Mr. Hooper agrees that the prize (a deluxe set of paints) should be mailed to Fred.
