SCENE 1 Rudy is hesitant as Abby brings him to the laundromat to get his "Blanky" washed. Grover has just started as the new laundry attendant, but believes the washing machines are actually screens for watching. Chris comes by to do his laundry and helps clear up the confusion by showing how he does his wash.

SCENE 1 cont'd Mr. Johnson comes by to drop off his clothes, regretting the choice once he sees Grover is on staff. He ultimately allows Grover to wash his clothes, provided Chris helps him. After he leaves, Grover assures Chris that he can handle the task all by himself.

SCENE 1 cont'd Ernie now stops by to do his laundry. Rudy admits that he's afraid of what might happen to his favorite blanket in the washing machine, but Ernie calms his fears. Ernie has many favorite shirts he always washes, along with Rubber Duckie. To help Blanky feel less alone, they stick it in with Rubber Duckie and the rest of Ernie's wash.

To his shock, Grover has all his clothes cleaned and neatly wrapped...all except for a stray pair of underwear. Grover chases an embarrassed Mr. Johnson out of the laundromat with them.
