COLD OPEN | A bear informs Elmo about habitats.
SCENE 1 | All of Big Birdโs friends greet him as they pass by. Chris serves him a bowl of Birdseed soup on a cold day. Freddy Flapman (Lin-Manuel Miranda), a bird real estate agent, hears Big Bird feels cold and offers his services. He explains that a lot of birds migrate and that he should too. Using his โreal estate magicโ, he takes them on a virtual tour of the beach. He raps about the positives and shows that birds like seagulls and pelicans live there. Big Bird, however, declines and goes off on his way.
SCENE 1 cont'd | In his nest, Gordon arrives with a warm blanket to keep him warm. Freddy appears once again, this time trying to convince Big Bird to move to the rainforest. After the virtual tour, Freddy assumes Big Bird will turn him down again, but Big Bird actually likes the rainforest and would like to move there, much to Gordonโs surprise.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Big Bird finishes packing and walks down the street, saying goodbye to all his friends (including Maria, Luis, Gabi, Susan, Gordon, Chris, Alan, Leela, Gina, Elmo, Barkley, Bob, Zoe, Rosita, Abby Cadabby and Snuffy), who object him leaving. He comforts them, believing theyโll be able to play and visit everyday, until he learns that rainforest is too far from the city for them to visit that often. He realizes that Sesame Street is where he belongs and sings about it. After the song, Freddy accepts defeat as everyone heads into Hooper's to celebrate.
Muppets | Abby Cadabby leads the gang in a song to introduce the letter of the day - H.
Film | H is for Habitat - A man takes some children on a tour of the dessert and beach, which are habitats for a variety of animals.
Muppets | Super Grover 2.0 An octopus and shrimp have a hard time bowling when their pins keep floating away. In a scuba suit, Super Grover 2.0 dives deep to help them out. He pulls some fruits from his utility sock and makes some hypotheses as to whether they will float or sink. When they fail, he finds nothing else but the bricks keeping him submerged. The bricks turn out to make the perfect pins, so the creatures keep playing as Grover floats to the ocean surface. (shortened intro) (First: Episode 4519)
Muppets | Cookie Monster and friends sing as they wait for the number of the day, which is how many cookies are being baked for him (to eat). Today's number is 0. Because this means no cookies, The Count presents him with an empty plate, which Cookie eats instead.
Cartoon | In song, an owl subtracts birds from the blue jay's nest party. (First: Episode 4512)
Muppets | Elmo's World: Habitats
SCENE 2 | Big Bird unpacks in his nest. Elmo is very excited and happy that he's remaining on Sesame Street.
Outro (PBS) | Cookie Monster, Rosita and a girl dance fast and slow. |
