Chris welcomes the viewer, when he's caught off guard by an unpleasant noise and smell. Both are coming from Oscar's laptop, which is opened to Scramazon.com. Oscar wants to purchase the special Grouch instrument, the P.U.-gelhorn, so he and Fluffy can play a duet. The item costs 8 bags of trash and Oscar has a mere 3. Chris gives him 2 more and thinks by saving his trash, he'll be able to buy it in no time.

Suddenly, Mucklemore and his Grouch posse arrive, musically promoting the "Grouch Thrift Shop." Mucklemore invites Oscar to join them in finding some cheap trash at the thrift shop, but Chris convinces him to control himself and save his trash. Oscar ends up by Mucklemore's fish-hat for all his trashbags.

Maria and Gina stop by to provide Oscar with more trash, but he's not sure how he can stop himself from spending them on something else. Suddenly, Gooze Orman, one of the wealthiest Grouches in the world, appears. She offers to help Oscar the Gooze Orman way: "Pretend Your Way to Trash!" She tells him to imagine other products are nice and cute things he would never want to buy. A Scramazon alert advertises the new Sty-Phone 6, which Oscar wants. Following Gooze's advice, Oscar imagines the phone is a cute bunny, which disgusts him from the site. Fluffy counts their trash bags and the finally have enough for the P.U.-gelhorn.

A Scramazon delivery Grouch immediately arrives with it, but leaves without a tip (he was early and the product wasn't broken). Oscar drives everyone away as he plays his new P.U.-gelhorn.

Murray finishes his jug of milk and is about to throw it away, when he remembers to recycle it instead. He wonders what happens to recycled things and Ovejita leads him to the New York City Recycling Plant. There, one of the staffers fills Murray in on what recycling is.

Super Grover 2.0
A cactus tries to play with his new ball, when something starts happening to it. Super Grover 2.0 arrives and begins to use his powers of observation. He sees the ball is shrinking, making a hissing noise (thinking there's a snake inside), air is getting blown at him and there's a hole in it. Grover tries to comfort the cactus, but pricks himself on its stems. The cactus realizes he put the hole in it. Grover helps more by find a ball he can play with. He fetches a bowling ball, which is too heavy. He gets a snowball from Antarctica, but it falls apart when thrown. Grover pulls a hero sandwich from his utility sock, when the cactus notices the foil wrapping can be made into different shapes. Grover makes it into a ball, which becomes the perfect ball for a cactus. They play some catch and Grover asks for a hug. Getting several stems poking him, he claims he's now losing air. (shortened intro)

Mrs. Sparklenose helps Abby, Blogg and Gonnigan recycle bottles they brought from home. One of Abby's bottles it dusty, so she rubs it and out comes Gene the Genie. He feels cramped inside and refuses to go back in. The bottle, not wanting to be empty, begins hopping around, looking for someone to suck inside. The bottle entraps Mrs. Sparklenose inside, while Gene plans to spend 1,001 nights in Vegas. Abby reminds Gene he needs to grant 3 wishes. Abby wishes for Mrs. Sparklenose to get out of the bottle, with Niblet then taken in his place. Gonnigan rephrases the wish and asks for not one of them to be inside, so he poofs them all inside, thus there is not one. They call on Spot, who shows them a film on โ€œallโ€ and โ€œnoneโ€. They wish for them all of them to get out and none of them would be inside. The bottle looks for some to capture and it gets Mrs. Sparklenose again. Gene refuses to switch places with her, not wanting to be in a small space again. They twinkle think and get an idea to magically recycle his bottle with other ones to make a larger one, complete with sliding glass doors so he can leave whenever he feels. (re-orchestrated theme song)

Elmo imagines himself as Prince Elmo, aided by his two royal mice guards, who report that the citizens of Tottentot are menaced by a dragon. To get to the town, they must go over the Burping Hill of Beans, under the Friendly Froggies Five and through the Hiccuping Hoop of Ballyhoo. As they climb the hill, they start to sink in until Velvet helps them out. Next, they go under the Froggies Five, who musically count off. They find the hoop and surprise it so it'll stop hiccuping and they can pass through. When they reach Tottentot, they are told the dragon is harassing them with his incredibly stinky breath. Fighting fire with fire, Prince Elmo gulps down some garlic and Limburger cheese wedges (five of each) and defeats the dragon with his own breath.
