What's the Word on the Street?: Proud
Elmo welcomes the viewer, explaining he's going to play basketball today. He shows Leela how he's prepared; he has his special shirt, special ball and a healthy snack for energy. Abby appears, finding Elmo having trouble getting his shirt on. Since her mommy helped Cinderella get dressed for the ball, Abby helps Elmo in the same way and offers to become his fairy godmother. She also un-peels his banana and un-spills his glass of milk. Before Elmo heads off to play, she gives him a magical teeth brushing.
Elmo and Abby go to the hoop and Elmo shows her how the game works. He throws the ball and misses the hoop. He tries again with the same results, upsetting him. Fairy Godmother Abby has an idea and enchants his ball so that it goes in the hoop each time. Elmo is glad the ball goes in the hoop, but finds something's missing, something Abby can't conjure up for him.
Leela returns and they tell her what's happend thus far. Leela has an idea as to what Elmo's not feeling and has Abby change the ball back. Abby tries using a baret and Blogg uses a stove-pipe hat to control his hair, but it ends up getting even longer and grabbing hold of everyone.
