| | What's the Word on the Street: Toss (First: Episode 4167) | |
| | | Baby Bear welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, when Telly runs into him, and excitedly tells him (and the viewer) that today is the Triangle Lovers Club's annual Triangle Toss (similar to ring toss). He displays his lucky triangle vest, which is what he claims helps him win every year. When he tries it on, however, he notices it's smaller than it was last year. Baby Bear and Leela help him put it on Telly, and they notice it's such a tight squeeze that he can't move his arms, but that doesn't worry him. Just then, he hears a triangle dinging, realizes it's time for the toss to begin, and rushes over to the courtyard. |
| | cont'd | Norman announces the presence of the Grand High Triangle Lover, who welcomes all the Triangle Lovers to the toss. He explains the rules, and displays his own skill at the game to demonstrate how to play it. He announces Telly as the first player, and an adoring fanboy marvels at Telly's presence. When Telly tries tossing his first triangle, he rips his vest, but still refuses to take it off. He runs off without tossing, but the fanboy still believes he'll be back. |
| cont'd | Telly comes back to Leela, asking if she can mend his vest. She answers that it's too small for him, but he can't bear the thought of playing without his lucky vest. Baby Bear reminds him that he loves the game, and convinces him to give the toss a try without wearing the vest. They both go back, ready to have a good time. | |
| | cont'd | Back at the toss, Tina (Tracie Mick) gets her first triangle on the stick-thingy, and is almost declared the winner, when Telly comes back, ready to toss his first triangle. He misses, and suddenly feels like giving up, but the fanboy reminds everyone that Triangle Lovers don't give up. |
| | cont'd | Baby Bear suggests that Telly imagine himself wearing his lucky vest. He does so, and it helps him get the last two triangles on the stick-thingy! He wins the game, and the Triangle Toss trophy! He shows the trophy to Leela, who managed to mend his vest (even adding another triangle to it). The fanboy shows up, and compliments Telly on the game. Telly realizes that his vest is just the right size for the little guy, and gives it to him. Everyone gives three triangle cheers for Telly! |
