4179b
SCENE Chris and Alan close Hooper's Store, welcome the viewer and plan on going bowling. However, their plans are put on hold when they hear a fanfare and Big Bird shows up, announcing the "Sesame Street Bird Games" and tells them they're the judges. A penguin adviser arrives and hands Alan an envelope with the game's rules. He also gives them their judicial headgear. Alan questions why they must do it and Big Bird points out that it will be fair if non-birds judge the events. The other two contestants arrive (a chicken and a duck), so the games can now commence!

4179d
SCENE cont'd The first event is "The Square-Meal Peck." A dish of birdseed is placed in front of the birds and they must peck the birdseed into a square. The chicken begins pecking wildly, the duck carefully pecks his food and Big Bird takes one look at his plate and devours it in hunger. Time's up! Big Bird and the chicken have no square-shaped birdseed to present, but the duck has a perfect square, earning him a point. The duck begins to eat his square and Big Bird sighs, "If I only waited."

4179f
SCENE cont'd The next game is the "30-Second Egg Lay." The penguin drags out a clock. Big Bird and the duck are males, thus they cannot lay eggs, but the rules say they are not exempt. Big Bird tries to buy one, but the rules do not permit it. The duck tries to pass off an apple as an egg, but denied. The thirty seconds are up and the chicken lays an egg, giving her a point!
4179g

4179h
SCENE cont'd Event #3 is "The Rhyming Competition," where the contestants must find a rhyme for "heard." The chicken's eggs and duck's quacks do not rhyme. Big Bird thinks "bird" is the word and is right! He gets a point, tying the score.
4179i

4179j
SCENE cont'd For the tie-breaker event, the trio must each do an interpretive dance that express what it's like to be a bird. The chicken dances as if she's laying an egg, the duck dances as if he's swimming and Big Bird sways to and fro to express his "inner birdness." The judges decide that since they all danced so well, they crown all of them winner! Alan and Chris leave to go bowling as the birds share the grand prize – 10 pounds of birdseed!

Muppets Game Show: Are You Smarter Than an Egg Layer?
Jeff Bawksworthy hosts with his contestant, Miriam Cheswick. He gives her the categories for egg-related questions: "Grade A Eggs," "Grade B Eggs" and "Advanced AP Eggs." She goes with Grade A. Her question is "What is two eggs plus one egg?" The chickens lock in their answers, but Miriam is clueless. She takes some help from one of the chickens, Megan, whose answer is 3, the right answer! Next, she chooses Grade B Eggs, with the question "What is three eggs plus three eggs?" Miriam, once again, doesn't know the answer ("I think it has something to do with hydrogen!") Jeff suggests she ask another chicken, Kyle, who believes the answer is 6. His answer is right and Miriam gets another point. Her final category is Advanced AP Eggs which has the question "How many eggs are in a dozen?" Miriam guesses "a kagillion," but Jeff makes her ask a chicken, Tandori. His guess is 12, which is right! Despite Miriam not begin smarter than an egg layer, she wins anyway and gets the grand prize: a million bawks! The chickens surround and begin clucking. She remarks "This show's for the birds!"
