With Marco's arrival impending, Luis and Gordon try lifting a crib from the entrance of 123 Sesame Street. Elmo asks what baby is arriving and what "adopting is." Big Bird and the others explain, with Gordon noting his and Susan's own adoption of Miles as an example.
Big Bird, Elmo, Bert, Alan, Oscar the Grouch, Telly Monster, Baby Bear, and Cookie Monster sing "There's a Baby Coming."
Bob comes, and notes that both he and Alan have brought diapers. The cast survey the mobiles and other gifts they have brought, and move on to Gina's apartment.
Luis and Gordon discover that the crib won't fit through the door, worrying Telly. Gina, Maria, and Marco arrive at that moment. Marco is introduced to everyone, and his gifts are presented. Maria notes that the baby needs rest, and the crowd disperses.
Gina situates herself in her apartment with Marco and Maria. Big Bird, Elmo, and the Birdketeers visit, and sing the Alphabet Song.
With another knock on the door, Telly arrives to give Marco the triangle-lover's test.
With a terrible crash through the ceiling, Super Grover arrives. He attempts to help, although he initially mistakes a pillow and various other objects for the baby.
With all the "helpers" gone, Marco is free to rest. After she and Maria exchange thanks and hugs, Gina sings "I'm Your Mommy Now."
Afterwards Big Bird, Elmo, Telly, Rosita, and Baby Bear arrive, inquiring if Marco has had enough rest. Luis and Gordon bring in the crib. Oscar (making a rare out-of-can appearance) arrives to see if the baby's a grouch, although the others are unimpressed.
