After Oscar finishes reading a chapter of Trash Gordon, Rosita and Elmo come by and notice Slimey's enthusiasm. Inspired, Slimey suggests that he wants to be a hero like Trash Gordon. Rosita and Elmo express doubts about the worm's size and strength, but Oscar refutes them. | ||
Oscar sings Slimey a song: "You Can Do It if Trash Can." With this bit of encouragement, Slimey departs into Oscar's trash can to retrieve a costume for himself. | ||
Elmo and Rosita are in the arbor and prepare to unveil the letter of the day from a box. Unfortunately, the letter is incomplete! However, not all is lost: Slimey, happily wearing his superhero cape, triumphantly appears and completes the letter! | ||
Afterward, Gabi and Miles engross themselves in a game of checkers, but realize that they're missing a playing piece. The caped Slimey appears and curls up into a checker piece, winning the appreciation of the cast. | ||
Later in the day, a new crisis erupts: Miles accidentally locks himself out of Hooper's Store, locking Elmo's ice cream treat inside. Disaster seems imminent. Fortunately, Gabi calls Oscar on her cell phone and recruits Slimey to help them again. The intrepid worm slides under the door, retrieves the key, and saves the day! | ||
