STORY

In honor of J, Elmo has changed his name to Jelmo. He jumps around and resolves to do other things beginning with the letter.

Jelmo jumps to the Fix-It Shop, where Maria is fixing a toaster (with the label "Frank Oz"). Elmo notes that none of the objects on Maria's table start with "J," and recommends that she fix more items beginning with the letter.

Meanwhile, a Juice Club member brings in a juicer that is broken: Rather than making juice, it plays the Jitterbug instead. Jelmo recommends that instead of fixing the appliance, the customer's club simply be renamed the Jitterbug Club.

Big Bird and the Birdketeers welcome Mary and her little lamb to their nest. At that moment Jelmo walks in, and the group decide to change Mary's nursery rhyme to "Jenny Had a Little Jam" for the day.

Later on, Jelmo tells Alan that he's tired. Alan tells him to "j"ust rest.

Maria, Mary's lamb, and a jitterbug dance to the Jitterbug in the Fix-It Shop, while the customer mentions that he doesn't want his juicer fixed after all. After the troupe jitter out the door, Alan mentions that the letter of the day can sometimes be exhausting. Elmo has fallen asleep in his arms, and they go inside.
