At that moment, Zoe and Rocco came by and Elmo tells Zoe that he and Gordon are trying to see if the apple would float. Zoe and Elmo guess that the apple would sink, but when Gordon let go of the apple into the bucket of water, the apple was floating. Then Zoe notice that Rocco is round and thinks it might float. Elmo doesn’t think it would float since he threw pebbles in a puddle and Rocco is like a rock so it might sink. Gordon drops Rocco in the bucket and it sank real fast. Gordon explains to Elmo that some things float and some things sink depending on how they weigh.

As Gordon takes Rocco out of the bucket, Zoe notice how shiny it is and slippery from the water. Elmo says Rocco could slide down a slide because he is slippery. Gordon agrees and makes a slide out of a crate and board to see if Rocco would slide down. Just then, Telly arrives and Zoe explains to Telly what they are doing. After Zoe, Telly, and Elmo making their guesses, Gordon lets go of Rocco, but it didn’t slide down. Elmo and Zoe notice Rocco is dry and that he needs to be wet again to be slippery. So Gordon wets Rocco using the bucket of water and tries again, but nothing happen. Then Telly makes a hypothesis that the board needs to be raised at a different angle for Rocco to slide down. So Gordon adds another crate and when Gordon lets go of Rocco, Rocco slide down the board. Telly’s hypothesis was correct.

Next, Telly wanted to see if his two triangles would slide down the board. He mentions that one triangle is made out of light aluminum and the other triangle is made out of sticks. Gordon tries the two triangles on the board and they both slide down the board. Then Elmo wanted to know if both triangles could float in the water. They test it out and found out that the wood triangle floated, but the aluminum triangle sank.
