SCENE At the Hooper's Store fruit stand, Alan serves some apples to two kids and Buster the Horse, who says "an apple a day keeps the veterinarian away!" Alan welcomes the viewer, but mentions that he can't chat, as he's expecting a big delivery of items today. Miles enters, asking Alan if he has any blueberries (for Susan's blueberry pie).
4089c
SCENE, cont'd Alan's big delivery arrives, carried by an Anything Muppet delivery person who points out that she also has to pick up some asparagus at Astoria. The delivery can't wait, but Alan has been so occupied with the fruit stand, he hasn't had time to set up the store. Miles offers to man the fruit stand while Alan takes care of the store.

SCENE, cont'd Miles comments that he loves fruit, especially their different colors and flavors. Elmo and Zoe come by, and both mention that they're hungry for a snack. Elmo wants a cookie, and Zoe wants ice cream. Miles suggests having some fruit instead, hyping its nutritional value. The monsters still insist on having sweets, so Miles decides to explain why it's cool to eat fruit. The lights dim and Duck Clark, the host of American Fruit Stand, enters the scene to introduce Miles' new hit song.
4089f
SCENE, cont'd Miles sings "I Love Fruit" (parodying "I Feel Good"), a song about how good fruit tastes and how good it is for the body.
4089g
SCENE, cont'd Elmo and Zoe are so impressed that they now want an apple and an orange as their snacks. Gina comes by, thinking she just heard music. Elmo and Zoe confirm her suspicions, telling her about the previous number, though Gina assumes it was their imagination. She asks Miles for some peaches and pears, which cues another song introduction by Duck Clark.
4089h
SCENE, cont'd Miles sings "Peaches and Pears" (parodying "Twist and Shout"), backed by the Oinker Sisters and some kids.
4089i
SCENE, cont'd Elmo, Zoe, and Gina wildly applaud, and Miles returns to hand Gina her peaches and pears. Gina starts to reenact the previous song as Maria arrives, asking if there's a concert going on. Elmo and Zoe explain that Miles is singing all about fruit, but Maria instead requests some vegetables, namely broccoli. This makes Zoe wonder if a vegetable can get on American Fruit Stand. Duck Cluck pops in to confirm, and introduces a boogie-woogie broccoli tune.
4089j
SCENE, cont'd Miles sings "Broccoli is Good" (parodying "Johnny B. Goode"), with some vegetables and some kids (including Tyrel Jackson Williams).

4089l
SCENE, cont'd Miles' adoring audience has grown to include kids and some Anything Muppet groupies. Alan comes back from the store wondering what's going on. The crowd starts clamoring for more fruit and vegetables. Miles returns and tells the crowd that he has to go bring some blueberries to his mom. Duck Clark pops in one more time to close out American Fruit Stand. Alan tends to his new wave of fruit-hungry customers, acknowledging that business has never been this good.
