Elmo wants to have a "Furry Red Monster Parade" and practices his drums near Hooper's Store where Alan watches him play but Alan asks him that if he knows another furry red monster. | ||
Elmo starts the parade alone in the front of 123 Sesame Street where he wants all the furry red monsters to come but instead Zoe comes and Elmo changes the song because he lets Zoe to be in the parade. | ||

When they start the parade, Telly comes and wants to be in the parade so he has to change the song again. Then, Baby Bear comes and he has to change the song again. "The song is getting long". | |
Afterward, the parade makes it's way to the courtyard and Big Bird saw them and wants to be in the parade. Before Elmo changes the parade song, he asks if anybody else wants to be in the parade. When they begin to march, more characters want to be in the parade including Gladys, Narf, Mel, a blue martian, Honker, Dinger, a penguin, and a chicken. | ||
Baby Bear tries to make a new parade song but the problem is, its too long! Big Bird says that if they sing that song, they will be here a week than Saturday, but doesn't know what that is. | ||
Elmo makes the song short by singing "The anyone who wants to be in a parade, parade!" which solves the problem and now anybody can be in the parade! Everyone begins to march after Elmo down Sesame Street and sing the parade song. | ||

Alan watches and wants to be in the parade. Elmo tells him that anybody can be in the parade so Alan walks out of Hooper's Store and marches in the parade with a girl. The tomato has to "catch up" to the parade. | |
