It takes Telly awhile to figure out that kitten begins with K, but he finally does. Telly and Baby Bear leave to get ready for drawing time, but don't notice Sparkles following them.

SCENE 3 Telly and Baby Bear have gathered their canvases and crayons. Soon, they are approached by the cute little kitten they met before, and they decide to draw him. They draw his eyes, his nose, his ears, his mouth, and his whiskers, and show the pictures to him. Before long, they find that they really like this kitten, and want to keep him. They toss around a few ideas of what to name him, unaware that he already has a name.

Baby Bear doubts it, but when they see Elizabeth's sign, they realize that Alan was right - this kitten does belong to someone. Telly doesn't want to part with the kitten, but Baby Bear tells him to look at it from Elizabeth's perspective - she doesn't want to part with her kitten, either. They agree to do the right thing.

They still have a habit of calling him "Little Murray," so Elizabeth decides that his full name will be "Little Murray Sparkles."
