SCENE 1
Big Bird and Elmo are about to play hide-and-seek. Big Bird counts to 10 (with the viewer) while Elmo hides under the stairs in the courtyard, and confides in the viewer not to tell Big Bird where he's hiding.

Big Bird asks Alan if he's seen Elmo, and Alan says he hasn't. Big Bird decides to try looking for Elmo at Hooper's and the Fix-it Shop. Meanwhile, Elmo decides to play another activity with the viewer ...

Gabi looks for Elmo, and hears him crowing like the rooster in the previous segment. He invites Gabi to hide under the stairs with him. While under, they try to guess who's coming down the stairs based on what they see and hear. The first person they encounter is someone who sings, and wears socks with piano keys - it's Bob! They invite him to play along, but he has to go meet Linda.

Elmo really wants Big Bird to find him; Gabi says she'll stay with him until that happens. Telly, having recovered from his pogo stick accident, comes to the scene for a Monster on the Spot coverage of the longest game of hide-and-seek ever played. Right after he interviews them, they hear Big Bird coming their way, and invite Telly to hide with them.

Big Bird thinks he knows where Elmo may be hiding: behind the counter at Hooper's! Telly thinks that now the game may go on a little longer. Gabi laments, "So near, yet so far ..." which cues a Grover segment.

Big Bird is disappointed that he can't find Elmo. While Alan consoles him, he sees where Elmo is hiding, and asks Big Bird if he's sure that he looked everywhere for Elmo. Big Bird realizes there's that one spot under the stairs which he hasn't covered (because it was "too easy" for anyone to hide there). Big Bird looks there anyway, and finds Elmo and Gabi!

Telly arrives at the scene to cover the longest hide-and-seek game which has just ended, and interview the players. Elmo thanks everyone for the game, and leaves for his world.
