Picture Segment Description
At Finders Keepers, Big Bird tries to welcome the viewer to Sesame Street with a block in his beak. Ruthie takes the block out so he can properly greet the viewer, and then lets him finish stacking all the blocks on the top shelf. As a reward for doing so, Ruthie lets him pick a toy from an outdoor bin. Which one will he pick?

Big Bird has picked a toy car with a control attached to it. The control can make the car go either forward or backward. Telly encounters him playing with the car, and is amazed at the way it moves. Big Bird realizes that he has to use the bathroom, and tells Telly to watch his toy car while he's gone. Telly vows to make sure nothing bad happens to the car, and tests it multiple times to make sure it works. However, the car suddenly stops working, and Telly panics.

Telly rushes to the Fix-it Shop, and knocks on the locked door. Miles passes by, and points out to him that there's an OUT TO LUNCH sign on the door, which means that Maria and Luis are out to lunch. Telly decides to wait until they return from lunch, but he suddenly hears Big Bird coming back, and hides behind the Fix-it Shop bench.

Telly, still hiding from Big Bird, wonders when Maria and Luis will return from lunch. Big Bird looks around for Telly, and asks Gabi if she's seen him. She hasn't seen him, but she invites Big Bird to play hide-and-seek with her. While she counts, Big Bird almost decides to hide behind the Fix-it Shop bench, where Telly is hiding ... but then he realizes that his feathers (or another body part) will still be visible if he hides there, so he decides to hide in the park. Telly breathes a sigh of relief, and thinks of another way of avoiding confrontation with Big Bird.
A man (voice of Jim Thurman) finds a magic remote control that makes things go up and down. He tests it on various objects. When he presses "down" for a bridge, it crumbles and falls into the river below, prompting the man to abandon the remote and slink away. A girl then finds the remote and makes the bridge go back up.

Telly has disguised himself as a firefighter (with sunglasses and a beard), thinking Big Bird won't recognize him. Big Bird approaches him, and makes sure he knows what a firefighter does. When the disguised Telly gets all of Big Bird's questions right, Big Bird is convinced. He continues his search for Telly, who wonders how much longer he'll have to hide from Big Bird.
Today's Secret Drawing is a fireman. (new sound effects added)

Telly, now out of his disguise, has decided to tell Big Bird the truth about the toy car he accidentally broke. Big Bird arrives with Luis, and is upset when he finds out his toy car is broken. Luis inspects it, and reveals that it's not really broken - it just needs new batteries. He puts some new ones in, and the car works again! Telly confesses to Big Bird that he was hiding from him, and they hug and make up. Luis announces the sponsors.
"And Slimey's spaceship is still on its way back to Sesame Street!"
