Celina reveals that the reason she showed them the video is because they're going to adapt it into a performance. There are eight students in the class (including Big Bird), which means there will be seven alligator kids and one king. Big Bird thinks he's perfect for the role of the king, but Celina decides who will play which part by drawing all their names out of a hat.

Big Bird waits in suspense as each of his classmates' names are called, hoping he won't be one of the alligator kids. To his disappointment, his name is picked for Alligator Kid #7, while Gabi gets picked to be the Alligator King - or queen.

Celina and the class examine all the props they will use in the play, while Big Bird still thinks of ways to get the part of the Alligator King. He becomes even more upset when Celina explains that the seventh Alligator Kid doesn't bring a gift, and storms out of the classroom before she can finish her sentence. She tells the class to sit tight as she follows him.
